Bacon-Wrapped Dates

Bacon makes everything better right? Try this recipe and see how much better it can make your dates!

Cut bacon slices in half.
If you bought pitted dates, open up the date (you will find a small slit where the pit was removed). If the dates have pits, make a small slit on the long side and remove pit.
Fill with goat cheese (if desired).
Wrap the half bacon slice around the date and insert a toothpick on top to keep it together.
Light Pit Barrel^® according to instructions.
Place in middle of Pit Barrel^® on oven safe dish or cast iron skillet.
Cook until golden and crisp starts to develop, about 30min.
Serve and enjoy.
